Carly's Holiday 2020 Gift Guide

Dec 22, 2020Christian Iriotakis

For the Self-Care Enthusiast:

Beekeeper’s Naturals - Propolis Throat Spray:

First and foremost, a couple of bottles of Beekeeper's Naturals Propolis Throat Spray. It's hands-down one of my favorite products - I never go anywhere without it. It's the perfect gift for the wellness enthusiast in your life (or the person who wants to upgrade their medicine cabinet in 2021).

Dreamy Moons - Year of Growth Journals:

One key aspect of my wellness routine is journaling. I love carving out time every morning to get my thoughts down on paper and have found this practice really helpful. That’s why I love giving my friends these “Year of Growth” journals from Dreamy Moons - they’re aesthetically pleasing and make planning your day/week fun.

Slip - Silk Sleep Masks:

Give the gift of a good night’s sleep. One of my favorite things to do when I need to unwind at night is to take some B.Chill Honey and sleep with a silk mask on. If you’re hoping to upgrade your nighttime routine or want to give someone a gift they’ll truly love, I suggest looking to give them a Slip Silk Sleep Mask.

For the Person Who Loves Living Sustainably:

Beekeeper’s Naturals - Water Bottle:

If you're hoping to give a gift with a strong message that not only supports a good cause but also helps everyone you love live a more sustainable life, then this one's for you. I love knowing that I can help my favorite people stay hydrated and that a portion of my purchase will support bee research facilities in North America.

Plant a Tree - One Tree Planted:

Opting to plant a tree in the name of someone you care about instead of purchasing a physical gift is the definition of a gift that keeps on giving. Though there are a few organizations that you can use for this, my recommendation is One Tree Planted - they make it super easy to gift a tree, allowing you to select how many trees you’d like to give and where you’d like them planted.

Donate to a Bee Charity / Bee Research Facility:

Our world would look drastically different if our favorite pollinators weren’t in it. That’s why one of my favorite gifts to give is a donation to charities and facilities that are actively helping #SaveTheBees - two of my picks in North America are the UC Davis Honey Bee Facility and the Canadian Honey Council. It’s a small but meaningful gift that will go a long way to help our future.

Stainless Steel Straws and Tumblers:

If you’re looking for something that says “I love you and the environment,” look no further than stainless steel straws and tumblers. They’re the perfect gift for anyone on your list who wants to reduce their carbon footprint and loves a good reusable item - not to mention, it’ll remind all of your nearest and dearest to drink more water.

For the Person Who Loves Living the Hygge Life

Naadam - Cozy, Sustainable Cashmere Scarfs:

2020, being the year that it is, filled with Zoom calls, virtual coffee dates, and distanced park hangs, has made one thing clear - comfort is key. If you’re like me, loungewear has become your go-to, and the coziness factor of your clothing has climbed to the top of your must-have list. So, why not give the gift of comfort? I love supporting brands that put sustainability at the center of their business, and I’m currently obsessed with Naadam’s line of cashmere scarves - all sustainably sourced and super chic.

Bleu Salt - Sweatsuit Set:

In line with the overall theme of comfort, wellness, and sustainability, another great gift to give is a cozy sweatsuit. One of my favorite brands is Bleu Salt; each item is created 100% sustainably in the USA and makes for a perfect low impact gift. What I admire about Bleu Salt is their continued commitment to helping keep our oceans (and our planet) clean - gifting a loved one something from one of their various collections will go a long way.

Vitruvi - Diffuser & Essential Oils:

If this year has taught us anything, it’s that having a self-care/wellness routine is crucial. Being able to unwind after a stressful day (or year) is key to remaining healthy and happy - and as a CEO, I know just how important it is to disconnect and recenter at the end of every day. One of my favorite ways to do that is through aromatherapy. I love being able to spend my evening surrounded by calming scents. So, if you’re looking for a cozy and stylish gift to give, this one is perfect - a Vitruvi diffuser and a handful of calming scents.

Bee Lucia - Natural Candles:

If the gift you’re looking for looks great and smells better, then this one’s for you. Bee Lucia creates relaxing and purifying wellness candles made with organic coconut oil, therapeutic grade essential oils, natural crystals, and beeswax. These candles are not only made with all of the best calming, natural ingredients, but they also make for beautiful decor.

    For the Foodie:

    Greenpan - Ceramic Non-Toxic Cookware:

This one is for the chef in your life, either the one who has been making you homemade meals since you were born or the one who has developed a knack for cooking this year. Get them a Greenpan, ceramic non-stick, non-toxic cookware that is the perfect addition to any kitchen. Besides giving them a gift they'll truly love, you might earn yourself some more delicious meals.

    Avaline Wine:

For the person who loves hosting (virtual) happy hours or just loves a good post-work beverage, get them some Avaline Wine. Vegan-friendly, organic wine, made with all of the cleanest ingredients, so you can trust that every bottle is made with love.

Little Gypsy Farms Estate - Olive Oil:

I love giving gifts that my friends and family will actually use, and one of my absolute favorites is delicious olive oil. My go-to is Little Gypsy Farms’ Estate, it’s a family-owned company based in Greece, and they use the highest-quality ingredients (it’s even non-GMO). So, if you’re looking for a tasty gift, look no further.

    Addictive Wellness - Chocolate:

This one is for the person with a sweet tooth in your life. Whether you’re looking to gift raw chocolate, elixir blends, or adaptogens, Addictive Wellness is the way to go. Their products are all vegan, paleo, and keto-friendly, not to mention they are also gluten-free and free from any sugar and GMOs.

    For That Special Someone:

Dr. Dennis Gross Skincare - DRx SpectraLite™ FaceWare Pro:

If you’re looking to splurge, the Dr. Dennis Gross Skincare, DRx SpectraLite™ FaceWare Pro is the perfect gift. It’s excellent for the skincare enthusiast in your life who deserves a little something extra this year.

Logan Hollowell - BKN Honey Bee Necklace:

This is another splurge item, but if you’re looking to support a good cause and give someone a unique statement piece that they’ll love, this Logan Hollowell x Beekeeper’s Naturals necklace is the one. I got this for my sister last year as a combination birthday & graduation gift, and it’s one of her fave pieces of jewellery.

    Stocking Stuffers:

    Rechargeable Frother:

For the person in your life who loves coffee (or matcha), this rechargeable, portable frother is the perfect gift. It’ll help upgrade their mornings, and it makes for a great stocking stuffer too.

    Silk Scrunchies:

This is one of my favorite affordable stocking stuffers and is perfect for the person in your life who has been growing out their hair this year. These silk scrunchies are super comfortable, and they look great.

    Bombas - Socks:

What’s one gift we all love giving and receiving this time of year? If the first thing that popped into your mind was a good pair of socks, then you’re going to love this one. Meet Bombas, a company that creates socks so comfortable; you’ll happily gift them to all of your loved ones (and maybe even sneak a pair for yourself). I love Bombas because, with every purchase you make, Bombas donates an item to someone affected by homelessness.
